Resnik and Resnik is a local law firm serving all of Connecticut, principally New Haven County, since 1931. The firm concentrates its practice in the fields of real estate (including conveyancing and leasing), estate planning, and probate. It serves as a title insurance agent for CATIC and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company.

The firm began in New Haven when Nathan A. Resnik graduated from Yale Law School. He and Cornelius T. Driscoll subsequently formed the firm known as Resnik & Driscoll, with offices in New Haven and Branford. In 1971 the Branford Office was moved to Woodbridge. In 1972 Resnik & Driscoll merged with another New Haven law firm, creating the firm of Winnick, Resnik, Skolnick & Auerbach, PC. In 1987 the firm of Resnik and Resnik, PC was spun off and continued with offices in New Haven and Woodbridge. The firm is now known as Resnik and Resnik.

Emily Resnik Conn

Emily Resnik Conn graduated from Kenyon College in 1985 and Emory University School of Law in 1988. She is admitted to practice in the States of Connecticut and Georgia and in the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. A member of the Connecticut and New Haven County Bar Association, she has served in a variety of academic and civic arenas as a volunteer, including Kenyon College (Alumni Association President), Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America, Camp Laurelwood, Congregation B’nai Jacob,  New Haven Jewish Community Center, and National Council of Jewish Women.

John J. Resnik, Of Counsel

John J. Resnik, a graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School, began the practice of law in 1960 with Resnik & Driscoll. He was later a principal of Winnick, Resnik, Skolnick & Auerbach, PC and the founding principal of Resnik and Resnik. Now living in Florida, he continues his affiliation as counsel to the firm.

He is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut, United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, and the Supreme Court of the United States. In addition, he is a member of he Connecticut Bar Association and formerly served as president of the Woodbridge Rotary Club and as a Selectman and Moderator of the Town Meeting of the Town of Woodbridge CT, as well as a director and officer of various non-profit institutions.

Nathan A. Resnik (1906-1989)

Nathan A. Resnik, also a graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School, began his practice of law in New Haven in 1931 and continued his affiliation with the firm until his death in 1989.
